So sorry to hear this. My neighbor, friend, co-athlete, from 5th grade (when we came to Norman, or came back, after father's time in Air Force) through entry to high school, though somehow I didn't see him as much after that transition. But in youth, someone I played with, sometimes fought with a bit, played music with, and remember as a rock and a very good guy. Best wishes to all his friends and family.

What a shock!  Prayers to the family.  David was baseball team mate in colt league and High school.  Ran with him pretty hard freshman and sophmore years at OU.  We went on two springbreak trips two years in a row to Las Vegas and California.  The first time we went with yes, with our mothers ,who were great friends.  The got us in to the casinos when we were a little under age.  We both acted like we were a big deal with Carder actually telling someone that he was worried that we forgot to turn off our oil wells before we left Oklahoma.  On an other one we took a side trip to Juarez where we spent two hours getting strip searched at the border.  After taking the car apart searching for drugs they finall decided we were just a couple of slightly enibriated idots form Oklahoma.

David was probably, outside of Chuck Alexander, the smartest guy I have ever known.  Made me a litlle jealous that he could ace any test without studying. He is gone to soon and I will miss him.
