Debbie and I went to church together but were not what I'd call real close friends. At our 30 year reunion, we sat and talked for a long time and it was as if we had been close for years. We laughed, smiled, even shed a tear over the hour (or hours). After the reunion, I remember thinking how cool it was to have shared that time with her and was so glad to have connected and bonded with her after so many years. It was a strong connection! Then she died! I feel God wanted us to become friends before she passed. I was saddened but felt privileged to have been given that time with her to get to know her better. I can only hope she felt the same. We'll talk again Debbie!
